The event took place after the installation and training of the Yakabissi and Birini school clubs on their responsibilities earlier in the year.<\/p>\nThe aim was to raise awareness on climate change, its causes and implications in the environment of the Mekrou basin. Discussions also involved basic concepts on adaptation and mitigation of the effects of climate change, including the rationing of forest resources and the use of renewable energies, as well as the importance of reforestation.<\/p>\n
