The meeting was chaired by the national director of hydraulics, Yaya Boubacar, representing the Minister of Energy and Water and chair of the Water Management Commission of the S\u00e9lingu\u00e9 and Markala reservoir (CGESM). Stakeholders from the public services and partners involved in the water, environment and sanitation sectors were present.<\/p>\n
The meeting called for a rational water management of the S\u00e9lingu\u00e9 and Markala dams pointing directly to Energy Mali (public water supply company) and Office du Niger (agricultural services), the main consumers of river water.<\/p>\n
