Participants were familiarized with the impacts of chemical use and awareness of the protection of water. The discussions also focused on good practices in water protection and infrastructure. Traditional leaders who took part were educated for the implementation of the resolutions of the sensitization workshop in villages.

On Thursday 04 June 2015, the Country Water Partnership of Ivory Coast (PNECI) participated in a sensitization workshop on the impacts of gold mining and chemicals on water resources. The ceremony was held in Krindjabo in the Southern Como\u00e9 Region whose capital is Aboisso. Organized by Green Cross C\u00f4te d’Ivoire, the meeting saw the participation of public and traditional authorities, civil society and miners. The objective of the workshop was to raise awareness for the rational management of water
