The main water stakeholders of the West African Region, especially the Country Water Partnerships, met in Cotonou (Benin) on 7 and 8 May, 2015 as part of the Global Water Partnership West Africa (GWP\/WA), thank the ECOWAS for all these efforts in the guidance and coordination of the development activities of water resources.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
However, the main water stakeholders of the West African Region appeal to the ECOWAS to pay more attention to the water issue by allocating the adequate human, financial and material resources in order to meet the many sectoral challenges, including water, sanitation, food and energy security, adaptation to climate change, ecosystem preservation,…<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The Executive Secretariat of GWP\/WA will monitor the implementation of this call.<\/p>\n
