<\/p>\nThe report was developed based on information collected with twenty-three institutions working in the domain of risk and disaster prevention in the country. The information is focused not only on the Volta Basin but over the whole territory of C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire. The priority activities to implement are all centred around the four priority areas of the Sendai Framework. These are understanding the risks of inundation, strengthening the governance and institution to manage the risks of inundation, investing in the economic, social, cultural and environmental resilience, and strengthening the preparedness to disaster (inundation) to be able to react efficiently.<\/p>\n

Many recommendations and amendments were done to improve the content and form of the report.<\/p>\n
The aim of the initiative is to strengthen the capacities of the key institutions involved in the management of floods and to prepare projects capable of mobilizing funding for the integrated management of floods in the six (6) Volta Basin countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, C\u00f4te d’Ivoire, Ghana, Mali, Togo).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
