Mr. Fleming, who has been the sole maintenance person for these pipelines since the 1980s, has dedicated countless hours to their upkeep, performing all maintenance and repair tasks pro bono. His extensive knowledge and deep commitment to the community have been invaluable assets in ensuring the continuous operation and safety of the water infrastructure. <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/span><\/span>During the inspection, Mr. Fleming shared his insights and historical knowledge of the system, highlighting areas that <\/span>required<\/span> attention and suggesting potential improvements.<\/span><\/span> <\/span> <\/span>The inspection was further supported by Mr. Alphonsus Daniel, owner of Daniel and Daniel Engineering Inc., who generously provided services <\/span>to produce<\/span> a detailed site plan and <\/span>assisted<\/span> with the procurement of necessary materials, also on a pro bono basis. This collaborative effort underscores the importance of community involvement and professional <\/span>expertise<\/span> in <\/span>maintaining<\/span> critical infrastructure. <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

 <\/span>In <\/span>April of 2024<\/span> the materials<\/span> for the Mt. Granby project <\/span>were shipped to Grenada and cleared from customs<\/span> and transported to the project site with the <\/span>assistance<\/span> of Daniel and Daniel Engineering. <\/span><\/span> <\/span> <\/p>\n

With support from the Member of Parliament<\/span> for the area and Minister <\/span>Kerryne <\/span>James  GWP<\/span>-C was able to receive exemption on customs and duties charges.<\/span><\/span> <\/span>During this period work also commenced on installing the portion of the water lines from the dam to the beginning of the main public road.<\/span> This was a joint effort between various members of the Mt. <\/span>Granby community and members of the technical team of Daniel and Daniel Engineering Inc.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The GWP-C and Daniel and Daniel Engineering Inc.<\/span> and the Mt. Granby Community <\/span>partnership exemplify how shared <\/span>resources<\/span> and local knowledge can effectively address infrastructural challenges, securing safe and reliable water supply for the residents of Mt. In a collaborative effort to ensure the integrity and reliability of essential water infrastructure, GWP-C teamed up with Daniel and Daniel Engineering Inc. to conduct a comprehensive site inspection at the intake structure\/dam and transmission\/Distribution mains located in Mt. Granby, St. John. The seven-man technical team, assembled by Daniel and Daniel Engineering Inc., carried out the inspection under the expert guidance of retiree Michael \u201cFreshy\u201d
