Starting at the New York City Marathon on November 4th<\/sup>, 2018, Mina Guli<\/a>, Global Water Partnership (GWP)<\/a> Steering Committee member, water advocate, ultra runner and founder of Thirst<\/a>, set out to run 100 marathons in 100 days for the global water crisis.<\/p>\n

Why?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Her reason is to raise awareness on the fact that our planet\u2019s water resources are under extreme stress. Experts predict that by 2030 our demand for water will be 40% greater than the supplies available. We are literally #RunningDry<\/strong>. Mina’s journey to run 100 marathons in 100 days, was grounded in taking action to create water-conscious citizens and to show that saving water is not just the right thing to do, but the only thing to do.<\/p>\n

However, on Mina\u2019s 63rd<\/sup> marathon earlier this month, she fractured her femur and can no longer run! Persons all across the globe have therefore joined the #RunningDry Movement<\/strong> to help her complete what she started.<\/p>\n
