The online event, organized by the Water Research Institute (V\u00daVH, Slovakia) in collaboration with GWP CEE, focused on the topic of youth involvement in improving water quality in the Danube region.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-uagb-image uagb-block-ad9f1ad6 wp-block-uagb-image--layout-default wp-block-uagb-image--effect-static wp-block-uagb-image--align-none\"><figure class=\"wp-block-uagb-image__figure\"><img decoding=\"async\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gwpo-gwp.org\/cee\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/03\/DANUrely-First-webinar-Youth-Involvement-in-Water-Quality-1024x576.png ,https:\/\/gwpo-gwp.org\/cee\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/03\/DANUrely-First-webinar-Youth-Involvement-in-Water-Quality.png 780w, https:\/\/gwpo-gwp.org\/cee\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/03\/DANUrely-First-webinar-Youth-Involvement-in-Water-Quality.png 360w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 150px\" src=\"https:\/\/gwpo-gwp.org\/cee\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/03\/DANUrely-First-webinar-Youth-Involvement-in-Water-Quality-1024x576.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"uag-image-1176\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" title=\"DANUrely First webinar - Youth Involvement in Water Quality\" loading=\"lazy\" role=\"img\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over\u00a050 participants from various countries\u00a0across the region registered for the session, which featured a series of expert presentations followed by a Q&amp;A discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The webinar introduced key water quality challenges relevant to the Danube basin, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hazardous substances and their risks to water quality,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The impact of urbanization and agriculture on groundwater,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The presence and effects of microplastics in surface waters,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Solutions for nitrate pollution in agricultural areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The event aimed to empower young people with knowledge and raise awareness of water-related issues that require innovative thinking and active civic engagement. The session concluded with an interactive discussion, during which participants posed thoughtful questions and engaged with the speakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video
