The new competition titled <\/span>\u201c<\/span>Let\u2019s work with nature!<\/span>\u201d <\/span>h<\/span>as been launched i<\/span>n the context of the 11th Youth Parliament of the Sava River Basin organized by the Sava River Basin Commission. The competition finale is planned to be held at the end of September or beginning of October 2023 in Ljubljana,<\/span> Slovenia<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>

The competition will run from 17 March to 24 May, <\/span>2023, <\/span>with a focus <\/span>on nature-based solution<\/span>s<\/span> (NBS)<\/span> in water management<\/span>.
<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

There are two<\/span> categories: 1. Secondary Schools, 2. Young people <\/span>aged<\/span> 19 \u2013 25. <\/span>Schools and young people from Sava River Basin (<\/span><\/span>Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia<\/span>) are eligible to apply.

In the frame of the competition, <\/span>a webinar<\/span> to explain basic concepts on NBS to young people<\/span><\/span> was organized on the 30 March 2023 (12:00-13:30 CET) in cooperation with GWP CEE, GWP Slovenia and the University of Belgrade. The main purpose was to increase <\/span>applicants\u2019 <\/span>knowledge on NBS and to help them to <\/span>submit<\/span> their proposal<\/span>. <\/span>The agenda covered an overview of NBS and the presentations on wastewater treatment wetlands, on NBS <\/span>to<\/span> healthy city and on large-scale NBS for flood risk reduction. The participants were also informed on <\/span>an online<\/span> support tool<\/span>, <\/span>gwotoolbox.org<\/span><\/a>,<\/span> which allows stakeholders to learn, explore and connect with<\/span> other<\/span> water <\/span>management <\/span><\/span>experts.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
