Anna Smetanova<\/span>, Project Manager at GWP CEE and<\/span> <\/span>leader of work package Transferability and <\/span>Scalability, <\/span>presented <\/span><\/span>the HuT project<\/span><\/span><\/a> at <\/span>the f<\/span>inal <\/span>meeting of <\/span><\/span>the <\/span>DAREnet<\/span> project<\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/a> The <\/span>HuT <\/span>project <\/span>integrates<\/span> innovative disaster risk reduction (DRR) solutions for multi-hazard risks <\/span>management <\/span>including flood and drought risks (among others) creating <\/span>a local<\/span>–<\/span>to<\/span>–<\/span>international nexus of science and technology, <\/span>human <\/span>behaviors<\/span> as well as <\/span>governance<\/span> and policy.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Solutions coming from partners and 10 demonstrators across Europe, including <\/span>Danube Basin<\/span><\/span><\/a> and <\/span><\/span>Baltic<\/span><\/span><\/a> ones are of direct interest for practitioners such as in <\/span>DAREnet<\/span>. <\/span>DARENet <\/span>network<\/span> connecting <\/span>interdisciplinary<\/span> and intersectoral national practitioner networks <\/span>dedicated <\/span>to<\/span> flood response innovation, and <\/span>therefore solutions in <\/span>HuT<\/span> project – such as <\/span><\/span>Danube based <\/span>V\u00edz<\/span> 24<\/span><\/span><\/a>, or technologies <\/span>developed by <\/span><\/span>GWP CEE partners<\/span><\/span><\/a> can be of interest.<\/span><\/span>

The HuT nexus <\/span>encourages <\/span>cross-fertilization<\/span> in multi-hazard <\/span>disast<\/span>er risk reduction <\/span>and governa<\/span>nce<\/span> and <\/span>s<\/span>imila<\/span>rly<\/span> to <\/span><\/span>Myriad_EU<\/span><\/span><\/a> and <\/span>DARENet<\/span>, it<\/span> strives for scaling good practice and cooperation across regions.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
