A four-day online <\/span>training <\/span>was held<\/span> to<\/span> educate young water specialists on how to fundraise for various <\/span>water management <\/span>projects <\/span>and enhance <\/span>their future professional <\/span>careers<\/span>. The <\/span>newly formed Youth<\/span> Fundraising Panel <\/span>is comprised of<\/span> young <\/span>representatives from <\/span><\/span>Bulgaria, <\/span>Estonia,<\/span> Hungary,<\/span>Lithuania,<\/span>Moldova, and <\/span>Romania<\/span> selected by the respective Country Water Partnership<\/span>s<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>They will<\/span> jointly develop<\/span><\/span> cross-border <\/span>project <\/span>proposals <\/span>with GWP <\/span>partners in and out of <\/span>the CEE <\/span>region.

<\/span><\/span>GWP CEE recognize<\/span>d<\/span> the <\/span>need for high-quality, internationally competitive <\/span>project proposals<\/span>involving young <\/span>experts and<\/span> the decision to establish the <\/span><\/span>Youth Fundraising Panel<\/span>was taken in <\/span>April 2022.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To kick-start <\/span>its <\/span>activities <\/span>a <\/span>dedicated fundraising<\/span> and <\/span>p<\/span>roject<\/span>m<\/span>anagement<\/span>t<\/span>raining<\/span> was started<\/span>. <\/span>It includes joint<\/span> online sessions <\/span>and <\/span>s<\/span>upervised<\/span>g<\/span>roup<\/span>w<\/span>ork<\/span> that will end with <\/span><\/span>submission of projects <\/span>in the autumn of 2022<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The primary <\/span>goal <\/span>is <\/span>to develop fundraising capacity among <\/span>young water professionals, <\/span>to facilitate <\/span>exchange of experiences on fundraising<\/span>, to foster international teamwork capacities<\/span> and develop ideas for fundraising <\/span>activities.

The Youth Fundraising Panel helped me understand <\/span>how to successfully apply for a European Union-funded project and how to manage <\/span>it <\/span>effectively. With a lot of group work and interactive sessions, we really gained valuable knowledge from <\/span>GWP CEE project managers<\/span> who have been working in this field for years. F<\/span>undraising and project management skills <\/span><\/span>are needed in <\/span>many <\/span>areas such as academia, <\/span>the <\/span>private sector as well as <\/span>the <\/span>administration. On top of it, working in international team, exchanging on topics overarching their own areas of expertise <\/span>leads to practical work with tangible results boost<\/span>ing<\/span> participants under<\/span>standing of team roles and teach<\/span>ing<\/span> them how to work <\/span>in a diverse and multicultural environment.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
