It out-competed 611 other artworks from 190 individual schools, involving 1314 children in 11 countries of the Danube River Basin.<\/p>\n<p>Second place was given to \u201cDisappointed fisherman\u201d by Ionela Chercheja of Mihai Eminescu Lyceum in Ghindesti, Moldova. The artwork \u201cDanube &#8211; the history living with us\u201d by Bal\u00e1zs Bokor, Krist\u00f3f B\u00f6rzsei and Bogl\u00e1rka Kov\u00e1cs of L\u00e9b\u00e9nyi \u00e1ltal\u00e1nos iskola \u00e9s AMI in L\u00e9b\u00e9ny, Hungary, won the third place.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/gwpo-gwp.org\/cee\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/04\/disappointed-fisherman-moldova-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"394\" height=\"263\"><\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s Danube Art Master competition came with a special twist: while the young artists participating were still working outdoor with materials found at local rivers and lakes, they were called to build costumes and outfits from them. Photographs taken of the \u201cDanube Masquerade\u201d were then submitted to the international jury.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/gwpo-gwp.org\/cee\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/8\/2026\/04\/danube-history-living-with-us-hungary-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"263\" height=\"351\"><\/p>\n<p>The Danube Art Master is a popular competition organised annually by the ICPDR with support from the \u201cGreen Danube Partnership\u201d from the Coca-Cola System through Global Water Partnership Central and Eastern Europe.
