GWP Central and Eastern Europe nominated Lu\u010dka Bogataj who is a Professor of Meteorology and Climatology at the University of Ljubljana.<\/p>\n
She served on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPPC<\/a>) which provided scientific information to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC<\/a>), and the group jointly received the Nobel Prize in 2007.<\/p>\n Currently, Prof. Bogataj is the project leader at Biotechnical Faculty, University of Ljubljana<\/a> in EuroGEOSS, a large scale integrated project on drought in the 7th Framework Programme of the European Commission.
