GWP Central Africa (GWP-CAf) is a regional partnership dedicated to advancing Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) through climate resilient investments across Central Africa. Created in 2008, GWP-CAf has five member countries (Chad, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Sao Tomé and Principe and the Republic of Congo). Our mission is to mobilize governments, civil society, the private sector, and development partners to support the sustainable management of water resources through resilient water investments in a climate change context for people, ecosystems, and growing economies.Â

As one of the thirteen regions of the Global Water Partnership (GWP) network, GWP-CAf contributes to shaping and delivering a coordinated international response to Central Africa’s urgent water and climate change challenges. Our work in the region aligns with the GWP Strategy 2026–2030, which focuses on climate-resilient water investments, governance, knowledge, capacity, data, and digital transformation to promote water security.
