During the month of May 2018, the CWP of Sao Tome and Principe advocated for the inclusion of Education and Awareness component in the MAAIS project – Improvement of Water Supply, implemented by the company Ecovis\u00e3o de Portugal. To this end, the CWP of Sao Tom\u00e9 organized a coordination meeting with the company Ecovis\u00e3o de Portugal and the Directorate General of EMAE, with the aim of defining strategies for the development and implementation of an awareness plan for the sustainable use of water. In addition, the CWP of Sao Tom\u00e9 participated in meetings with the various national institutions (Sports Directorate, School Administration Directorate, EMAE, National High School and the XI Games Commission of the CPLP to be held in Sao Tome and Principe) to obtain grants for the development of the awareness plan. It should be noted that the MAAIS project lasts 12 months and aims to contribute to sustainable water management in Sao Tome and Principe and to strengthen the resilience of water supply systems in Sao Tome and Principe by taking into account the negative effects of declining rainfall indices.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
