{"id":3308,"date":"2016-05-03T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-05-02T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gwpo-gwp.org\/centroamerica\/news\/cosecha-de-agua-lluvia-adaptado-al-corredor-seco\/"},"modified":"2026-04-24T08:56:33","modified_gmt":"2026-04-24T07:56:33","slug":"cosecha-de-agua-lluvia-adaptado-al-corredor-seco","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gwpo-gwp.org\/centroamerica\/archive\/cosecha-de-agua-lluvia-adaptado-al-corredor-seco\/","title":{"rendered":"Cosecha de agua lluvia adaptado al Corredor Seco"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\/sustainabledevelopment\/es\/water-and-sanitation\/\">Cada d\u00eda, cerca de 1.000 ni\u00f1as\/os mueren a causa de enfermedades diarreicas prevenibles relacionadas con el agua y el saneamiento.<\/a> \n<\/ul>\n<p>El sistema, que incluye una bolsa de geomembrana para el almacenamiento de agua, fue dise\u00f1ado y desarrollado por AMANCO-Mexichem y el programa CARE-PROSADE, quienes lo han aplicado a nivel familiar en el sur de Honduras, con buenos resultados.<\/p>\n<p>Con el prop\u00f3sito de establecer un piloto a nivel de escuelas sin acceso a agua y ampliar el uso de la tecnolog\u00eda, se identific\u00f3 una escuela rural en Choluteca (Escuela Samuel Calixto Espinal), un departamento al sur de Honduras y parte del Corredor Seco, en donde no se ten\u00eda acceso al agua y la comunidad era activa para que se encargaran del mantenimiento del sistema. Se instal\u00f3 el sistema de cosecha de aguas lluvias en octubre del 2015, incluyendo adem\u00e1s un m\u00f3dulo de lavamanos y letrinas.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/gwpo-gwp.org\/centroamerica\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/7\/2026\/04\/web_lavamanos_hn-1.jpg\" alt=\"Ni\u00f1as\/os usando lavamanos.\" width=\"394\" height=\"200\"><\/p>\n<p>Las ni\u00f1as\/os usan un subi-baja para bombear el agua al tanque de agua que queda en alto y suministra el agua de los lavamanos, generando tambi\u00e9n una actividad recreativa para ellos<\/p>\n<p>En el marco de la alianza GWP Centroam\u00e9rica, CARE Honduras y AMANCO-MEXICHEM, se continuar\u00e1 trabajando en el monitoreo de los beneficios de la tecnolog\u00eda y en su r\u00e9plica a nivel
