They expected \u201cthe Best Water Saving Junior Reporter Award of Hunan\u201d and \u201cthe Best Water Saving School Award of Hunan\u201d that honour schoolchildren and schools whose discoveries and inventions have contributed in significant and lasting ways to water protection and efficiency. 239 primary students and six schools obtained the laurel for their behaviour in this field on Friday. Honorees presented peers their innovations of saving water.<\/p>\n<p>The event appeared an annual outcomes summary of implementing the online water saving platform that is jointly initiated by <strong>the Hunan Provincial Water Saving Administration<\/strong> and<strong> GWP Hunan<\/strong> for a widespread network of water saving and protection in local communities. Jointly supported by governments, corporates and public media, the Platform has over 5000 teenagers registered as \u2018water saving junior reporters\u2019 until November 2018. They share skills, devices, knowledge and stories on the efficient use of natural resources with peers and adults. The mechanism of \u2018public-private-media\u2019 underpins the platform to help children quantify their contributions and transform the saving outcomes to philanthropies for further water saving innovations, campaigns and knowledge products.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKids have great potential energies and passions on water saving, protection and sustainable development,\u201d said <strong>Prof Dong SHENG<\/strong>, <strong>Provincial Coordinator of GWP China Hunan and Senior Engineer of Hunan Water Resources Institute<\/strong>, \u201ctheir knowledge, skills and a strong sense of water-efficient management would affect their peers, schools, teachers and especially families, including parents and grandparents. It is the best outcome of our campaign\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/gwpo-gwp.org\/china\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/10\/2026\/04\/venue00.jpg\"
