The WAY <\/span>programme<\/span> is Global Water Partnership\u2019s flagship Youth <\/span>Programme<\/span> launched by aiming to promote leadership, mentorship, fellowships\/internships, networking, and intergenerational dialogues among regional youth. The South Asia edition of the <\/span>programme<\/span> was coordinated by GWP SAS held in an online format for a duration of <\/span>9 weeks<\/span> between 26th September and 30th November 2022. <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>programme<\/span> was <\/span>facilitated<\/span> in close collaboration with <\/span><\/span>Waterlution<\/span><\/span><\/a>, Water Science Policy<\/span> (now <\/span><\/span>Onewater<\/span><\/span><\/a>)<\/span>, and <\/span><\/span>GWP Southeast Asia<\/span><\/span><\/a>. Young professionals and experts <\/span>were connected<\/span> to decision makers, practitioners, and senior water leaders for mentorship, inter-generational dialogues, to network and act on SDG implementation focused on riverscapes and riverine ecosystems in South Asia. At the end of the <\/span>programme<\/span>, participants joined \u2018<\/span><\/span>Youth and Young Water Professionals Platform (YYPP)<\/span><\/span><\/a>,\u2019 a body that functions as a pool of knowledgeable youth working to support improved water management in South Asia. <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

This resource book<\/span> co-published by GWP SAS and YYPP<\/span> is a public recognition of the commitment of the cohort of WAY <\/span>programme<\/span> members from across South Asia, highlights youth contributions towards water action, and supports the dissemination of<\/span> their<\/span> findings. Furthermore, it <\/span>validates<\/span> the value of creating youth opportunities to empower them as agents of change while sharing knowledge and experiences related to water in their respective countries.<\/span>Happy International Youth Day 2024. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
