The celebration focused on raising awareness about water conservation, both quantity and quality along with highlighting the symbiosis between water and wastewater for achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) on water.<\/p>\n<p>The event was inaugurated by Dr Amarjit Singh, I.A.S, Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. The other dignitaries present on the dais were, Dr Trilochan Mohapatra, Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) and Director General, ICAR; Dr R. Kaur, Director, Water Technology Centre, IARI; Dr A. K. Sikka, IWMI-India Representative; Dr J. S. Sandhu, Deputy Director General (Crop Sciences) and Director, ICAR and Dr Veena Khanduri, Executive Secretary-cum-Country Coordinator, IWP. The dignitaries addressed on emerging issues on water conservation and wastewater management. The inauguration ended with the \u2018Vote of Thanks\u2019 extended by Dr Khanduri.<\/p>\n<p>The inaugural session was followed by a technical session on \u2018Perspectives on Water and Wastewater Synergy\u2019. Presenters discussed about Water and Wastewater Synergies, Wastewater Management and Use in Agriculture \u2013 IARI Experiences, Water and Wastewater Management: Challenges and Perspective and Groundwater \u2013 Quantity and Quality for Sustainable Development. A brainstorming session on \u2018Clean Water: Absolute Right or Duty\u2019 was held at the second half of the day.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\"
