The training has been co-organized  by the Water Convention Secretariat, UNECE<\/a>, the Global Water Partnership<\/a>; Water Resources Institute of the Ministry of Water and the Environment, Uganda<\/a>; University of Northumbria and other partners<\/p>\n

 The training will focus on the applicable legal rules and principles that shape how countries across Africa cooperate over their transboundary rivers, lakes and aquifers, and also discuss more practical challenges and experiences in the implementation of international water law.<\/p>\n

The training will be delivered through three main elements,<\/p>\n

i) lectures and Q&A sessions delivered by leading experts in the field to promote \u201cpractitioner-to-practitioner\u201d learning<\/p>\n

ii) case study presentations from practitioners \u2018in the field\u2019; and<\/p>\n

iii) simulation exercises facilitated by the aforementioned experts.<\/p>\n
