Attendance is open to all water stakeholders working in Africa through this Zoom registration link<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The kick-off event will include addresses by African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) CEO His Excellency Dr Ibrahim Mayaki, as well as leaders from the African Development Bank (AfDB), African Ministers\u2019 Council on Water (AMCOW), the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA), and Global Water Partnership .<\/p>\n

The overall objective of the AIP Water Investment Scorecard is to enhance accountability for results in mobilisation of water investments in Africa and sustain political and leadership commitment at the Heads of State level for gender transformative and climate resilience water and sanitation investments for the achievement of SDG 6 on water and sanitation.<\/p>\n

The AIP Water Investment Scorecard<\/a> will provide a review mechanism highlighting a country\u2019s progress in promoting inclusive and integrated water investments and also ascertain a country\u2019s readiness in meeting its investment needs to achieve SDG 6<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It will respond to the implementation of the Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa Priority Action Plan (PIDA-PAP)2<\/a> and is aligned with the African Union (AU) Agenda 2063<\/a> and Africa Water Vision 2025<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The AIP Water Investment Scorecard will support the implementation of the Africa Water Investment Programme (AIP)<\/a> which aims to leverage $30bn in investments towards water and sanitation.<\/p>\n
