Bereciartua ha sido secretario de Infraestructuras y Agua de Argentina de 2017 a 2019. Fue responsable de una de las principales \u00e1reas de inversi\u00f3n federal (abastecimiento de agua y saneamiento, adaptaci\u00f3n al cambio clim\u00e1tico, expansi\u00f3n de la frontera agr\u00edcola e infraestructura de gran escala, incluyendo presas y acueductos) y de la implementaci\u00f3n de las pol\u00edticas nacionales de agua.<\/p>\n
Anteriormente, fue subsecretario de Recursos H\u00eddricos de Argentina (2015 a 2017); presidente del Organismo de Planificaci\u00f3n H\u00eddrica del \u00e1rea metropolitana de Buenos Aires (2015-2019); y director de Infraestructura del Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (2007-2009).\u202f<\/p>\n

El Presidente saliente, Howard Bamsey, tras cuatro a\u00f1os al frente, anunci\u00f3 a principios de este a\u00f1o su intenci\u00f3n de abandonar el cargo. Al aceptar el cargo, Bereciartua dijo: “Deseo servir a una red mundial que tiene un gran capital de reputaci\u00f3n debido a la naturaleza inusual de su forma de trabajar: garantizar que las voces del agua a nivel local se vinculen con las ideas mundiales”.<\/p>\n
Entre otros t\u00edtulos, Bereciartua tiene un m\u00e1ster en Ingenier\u00eda y Econom\u00eda por la Universidad de California en Berkeley, California, Estados Unidos. Se licenci\u00f3 con matr\u00edcula de honor en Ingenier\u00eda Civil, Hidr\u00e1ulica y de Transportes por la Universidad Nacional de la Plata, Argentina. Tiene un MBA por la Universidad de San Andr\u00e9s en Buenos Aires, Argentina. Bereciartua es un Yale World Fellow.<\/p>\n
