La Asociaci\u00f3n Mundial para el Agua (GWP) public\u00f3 su Informe Anual de 2013, titulado “GWP En Acci\u00f3n’. El informe hace hincapi\u00e9 en las contribuciones de la Asociaci\u00f3n a las Consultas de la ONU sobre la seguridad h\u00eddrica, en particular, la evaluaci\u00f3n del progreso hacia el logro de los Objetivos de Desarrollo del Milenio (ODM) y la participaci\u00f3n en el proceso de definici\u00f3n de la Agenda de Desarrollo Post- 2015.

El informe destaca que la asociaci\u00f3n incluye 13 Asociaciones Regionales para el Agua , 84 Asociaciones Nacionales para el Agua y 2.904 organizaciones asociadas en 172 pa\u00edses diferentes. El informe tambi\u00e9n describe: el trabajo del Comit\u00e9 T\u00e9cnico de GWP; el trabajo realizado durante el a\u00f1o 2013; y los logros de GWP 2.009-2.013.

El informe examina los progresos en relaci\u00f3n con los cuatro objetivos: promover el agua como un elemento clave del desarrollo nacional sostenible; abordar los desaf\u00edos cr\u00edticos del desarrollo, incluyendo la seguridad h\u00eddrica y la resiliencia al cambio clim\u00e1tico; reforzar el intercambio de conocimiento y la comunicaci\u00f3n; y construir una red m\u00e1s eficaz .<\/p>\n

En el marco de esos objetivos, el informe muestra acciones espec\u00edficas por regi\u00f3n, destacando los casos, entre otros: Burundi ; Rwanda; la cuenca del Drin en los Balcanes; Grecia; Georgia; China; Bangladesh; el Caribe; Per\u00fa; y Burkina Faso.<\/p>\n
