A Strong Foundation for Transformation

For nearly 30 years, GWP has empowered communities to adapt to water challenges. To meet the current climate emergency, GWP is launching the Global Water Investment Programme (GIP). This programme builds on the success of the Africa Water Investment Programme (AIP) to mobilise the initial €500 million required to trigger the USD 15 billion investment target.

Key Steps in GWP’s Transformation

As we move forward, GWP will:

  • Scale investment: Leverage USD 15 billion by 2030 through a USD 500 million mobilisation.
  • Strengthen leadership: Expand partnerships with the G20, MDBs, and climate finance institutions.
  • Enhance regional presence: Establish continental Technical Hubs for deeper local impact.
  • HQ Relocation: Operationalise the Transition Office in South Africa.

A Call to Global Leaders & Partners

The global water crisis requires a unified response. We call on governments, international organisations, and the private sector to join us in this transformative journey to ensure water remains central to global development.
