Special Event: Invitation-only Roundtable with Ambassadors and Diplomats accredited to Stockholm, focused on advancing the Global Transformation Agenda on Water Investments. (Ministers and Diplomats only – strictly by Invitation).
In 2025, the Global Water Partnership Organisation (GWPO) and its Regional Water Partnerships initiated a bold Global Transformation Agenda on Water Investments, to accelerate and scale up mobilisation and deployment of climate-resilient water investments by leveraging at least USD 15 billion in water investments by 2030 to advance water security.
The new GWP Strategy 2026-2030 will operationalise the Global Transformation Agenda on Water Investments and support countries in closing the water investment gap in this decisive decade.
Bringing together leaders and partners from governments, development banks, international organisations, civil society, and the private sector, the hybrid launch event will mark the milestone of launching the new Strategy, present its priorities, and mobilise partnerships for the Global Transformation Agenda on Water Investments.
Highlights of the Global Strategy Launch event include a Keynote Address on the role of the G20 in advancing water investments, and a High-level Panel Discussion on the G20 and the Global Water Investment Platform – where global leaders will share perspectives on opportunities for transforming climate-resilient water investments at scale towards the G20 Summit, COP30, and the United Nations 2026 Water Conference.
