Integrated water resources management in Central and Eastern Europe: IWRM versus EU Water Framework Directive, No. 8 (2015)

This paper explores the relationship between the aims and instruments of the EU Water Framework Directive (WFD) and the principles of IWRM at the example of Central and Eastern Europe, where water management has been dominated by the WFD since these States became members of the EU.
