The GWP Central Asia and Caucasus (CACENA) Technical Advisory Council (TAC) is an expert, technical body within the GWP CACENA, consisting of specialists from countries in the region (including Mongolia), as well as experts from other countries on a voluntary basis. The TAC aims to achieve the main objectives of the GWP CACENA, which are to promote improved water resource governance and management through the implementation of Integrated Water Resource Management principles.Â
The TAC is led by a Chair, who is appointed by the Regional Council through a competitive selection process. The TAC forms working groups to carry out expert assessments, prepare reports, present findings, produce brochures and reviews, and perform other tasks. Members of the TAC participate in group activities or work with the Country Water Partnerships (CWPs) as needed, both voluntarily and through contracts. They also attend meetings and sessions of the Regional Council. The TAC provides reports to the Regional Council and coordinates its work with the Regional Coordinator.Â
