The Armenia Water Partnership is officially registered as NGO.
The certain steps to put the IWRM principles in practice have been made in Armenia. The first steps were stated in the Water Code and in the related by-lows over the last years. The IWRM principles are adopted in a number of national projects and the programs, which are implemented in Armenia under financial support of the international donors with proper methodological facilitation from GWP CACENA. The Ministry of Nature Protection and the Water Resources Management Agency play a key role in practical application of the IWRM principles. The Armenia Water Partnership IWRM includes 20 accredited partners and promotes public awareness and participation processes acting in close cooperation with the above-mentioned authorities. Also, it conducts the capacity development programs on IWRM issues.Â
