For individuals interested in engaging with GWP, you are welcome to join GWP China as an individual partner. Individual partners of GWP China enjoy full access to participate in all its activities, including various seminars, workshops and conferences hosted by GWP China, and can collaborate with GWP China on water resources management initiatives alongside institutional partners.
In 2016, the 3rd Regional Partners’ Meeting of GWP China marked a new chapter for GWP’s regional partnership framework. On this basis, GWP China obtained independent legal personality, registered under the official Chinese name 中国水资源战略研究会 and the English name GWP China.
By 2021, GWP China had grown to include more than 200 institutional partners. In 2022, we further opened our application platform to individual partners-a milestone to expand inclusive participation in water resources governance!
We warmly welcome all individuals passionate about water resources strategic research and committed to water protection and sustainable water development to apply for individual partnership.
I. Application Procedure

The Secretariat will conduct a formal review of the submitted registration form. Upon passing the review and meeting the membership criteria, the applicant will be issued an Individual Partnership Certificate, which will be delivered to the applicant by the Secretariat.
II. Rights and Obligations of Individual Partners
1. Partner Rights
1.1 The right to vote in the election of the institution’s governing bodies;
1.2 The right to participate in all academic and operational activities organized by GWP China;
1.3 The right to access all professional services and resources provided by GWP China;
1.4 The right to put forward suggestions and conduct evaluations on the work of GWP China;
1.5 The right to join and withdraw from the membership on a voluntary basis.
2. Partner Obligations
2.1 Abide by the Articles of Association of GWP China and implement the resolutions adopted by the institution;
2.2 Safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of GWP China, understand and advocate for the institution’s vision and mission, and support its development and construction;
2.3 Actively participate in various activities organized by GWP China and earnestly complete the work assigned by the institution;
2.4 Submit work reports to the Council of GWP China and provide relevant professional information as required;
2.5 Share professional information and practical experience with other members of GWP China.
III. Individual Partner Fee
No partnership fees are required for individual members.
GWP China levies zero financial charges on all individual partners.
