To thoroughly implement the work requirements of the Ministry of Civil Affairs and the Ministry of Water Resources on standardizing internal management of social organizations, strengthening the development of the membership system, and improving the quality and efficiency of targeted services, in accordance with the provisions of the Articles of Association of the China Water Resources Strategy Research Association and the Measures for Membership Administration of the China Water Resources Strategy Research Association, our Association has decided to launch the 2026 annual membership registration work. Relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:
I. Basic Eligibility for Membership
All entities or individuals applying for membership must firmly uphold the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the system of socialism with Chinese characteristics, fully implement the Party and state’s water governance policies and arrangements for water-related scientific and technological innovation, strictly abide by the Constitution, laws, codes of conduct for science and technology workers and scientific ethics, practice the core socialist values, adhere to academic integrity and industry norms, voluntarily comply with the Articles of Association, perform membership obligations, actively participate in all work and activities of the Association, and support its development.
(I) Institutional Members
Research institutions, institutions of higher learning, administrative authorities, relevant social organizations, enterprises and other entities with professional technicians in water resources and related fields, that voluntarily abide by the Articles of Association, take part in its activities, are willing to contribute to its development and wield significant influence in the industry may apply to become institutional members of the Association. Applicants shall meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Administrative authorities at all levels engaged in water resources and related fields;
- Research institutes conducting research and technological development in water resources and related fields;
- Institutions of higher learning carrying out water resources research and talent training;
- Enterprises engaged in water conservation, protection, development, utilization and administration;
- Water-related social organizations, think tanks and other institutions.
(II) Individual Members
Individuals who voluntarily abide by the Association’s Articles of Association, participate in its activities and are willing to contribute to its development shall meet at least one of the following criteria:
1.Science and technology workers engaged in research, promotion and application of water resources and related fields, holding associate senior or above professional titles, doctoral degrees or equivalent professional competency;
2.Administrative practitioners working in water resources and related fields.
II. Application Procedures
(I) Entities and individuals applying for institutional or individual membership shall download the attached forms corresponding to this Notice, fill in all items truthfully and completely, and submit application materials as required.
(II) The Secretariat of the Association shall conduct preliminary review of all submitted membership applications. Applications passing preliminary review shall be submitted for approval in accordance with formal procedures; those approved by the Council shall be formally recognized, and the applicants will be notified accordingly.
III. Submission Requirements
(I) Institutional Members: The Application Form for Institutional Membership of the China Water Resources Strategy Research Association must bear the official seal of the applicant entity. Submit the fully completed Word electronic version and scanned copy with official seal to the designated email address, and mail the original hard copy with official seal to the Secretariat of the Association for filing and recordkeeping.
(II) Individual Members: The Application Form for Individual Membership of the China Water Resources Strategy Research Association must be signed by the applicant in person. Submit the Word electronic version and scanned copy of the personally signed page to the designated email address.
