Young people are not only the leaders of tomorrow, but active contributors to shaping sustainable and climate-resilient futures today. Recognising the important role of youth in advancing water security, climate resilience, and sustainable development is essential to achieving inclusive and lasting impact.
Under the GWP Strategy 2026–2030, advancing climate resilience, gender equality, and social inclusion is a strategic priority. GWP recognises young people as key partners in water governance, climate action, innovation, and sustainable development. Through meaningful engagement and inclusive participation, GWP supports pathways for youth to contribute as leaders, innovators, and agents of change in addressing water-related challenges.
GWP’s Youth Engagement Strategy, launched in 2015, continues to guide efforts to strengthen youth participation across the GWP network and complements broader work on gender equality and social inclusion.
