To mark Earth Hour, GWP Romania organized a tree-planting activity in partnership with employees from a local company at the courtyard of the Natural Sciences Museum in Galați. The initiative brought together volunteers to actively contribute to improving urban green spaces and raising environmental awareness. During the event, participants planted approximately 70 trees and shrubs, selecting species suitable for local climate conditions. The activity combined hands-on learning with corporate engagement, encouraging participants to reflect on climate action and sustainable urban development. The newly planted vegetation will enhance the landscape of the museum courtyard while creating a small urban green oasis.

Water Governance/Impact: The planting supports climate adaptation by increasing shade, improving rainwater retention, and enhancing biodiversity. The activity also strengthened collaboration between civil society and the private sector, promoting shared responsibility for sustainable water and ecosystem management.
