Global Water Partnership Central and Eastern Europe (GWP CEE) cooperates with different institutions, organizations and networks to strengthen the integrated water resources management at basins, and European levels.
Through formal roles such as observer status, advisory board participation, and executive committee membership, GWP CEE contributes with expertise in integrated water resources management, nature-based solutions, restoration, and participatory governance. These roles enable direct input into strategic planning processes, and policy developments, while also facilitating the transfer of knowledge between science, policy, and practice.
Strategic cooperation is used to strengthen transboundary coordination, support the implementation of European environmental legislation, and promote coherent approaches across sectors and governance levels. By engaging in different basin commissions and specialized networks, GWP CEE ensures that regional experience from Central and Eastern Europe informs broader European processes, while international policy priorities and innovations are effectively translated into basin-level activities.
