From 2–4 June 2025, partners of the D-CLEAN project gathered in Szolnok, Hungary, for the First Year Review. The event was hosted by the Middle Tisza District Water Directorate (KÖTIVIZIG), providing an excellent opportunity to assess progress achieved during the project’s first year and plan the next stages of implementation.
The meeting brought together project partners from across the Danube Region to discuss ongoing activities, share experiences, and strengthen cooperation. A key milestone of the event was the First Year Review Meeting with representatives of the Danube Region Programme Joint Secretariat, during which partners presented the project’s technical and financial achievements and discussed future priorities.
Participants also took part in a training workshop on the D-CLEAN GIS Tool, designed to enhance partners’ technical capacities and support data-driven decision-making in wastewater and stormwater management.
The programme included several field visits that provided valuable insights into local water management practices. Partners visited the Szolnok Flood Protection Training Center and Water Museum and joined a study tour to the Hungarian pilot area managed by KÖTIVIZIG, including a visit to the modernised wastewater treatment plant in Mezőtúr.
Beyond the technical discussions and site visits, the meeting offered an important opportunity for networking, knowledge exchange, and strengthening collaboration among project partners.
GWP CEE would like to thank KÖTIVIZIG for the excellent organisation and warm hospitality throughout the event.
